  2. can someone summerize this issue for me

  3. The art in this issue is amazing!  It is my art of the series.  I was a little disappointed with 'Toxin' but I'm glad to see they have a plan for him.

  6. Great issue, also noticed what Venom was talking about when it saw Toxin. I think that is related to whats in store for this summer as mentioned in that Interview awhile back. So I'm expecting a big symbiote brawl of some kind. Also that ending dumping betty and getting drunk and how Flash said "We're"

  7. Flash steals the Toxin symbiote for Jack.  He loses control and Venom fights Jack.  Flash regains control and Jack escapes with Toxin.  He then breaks up with Betty, downs a bottle of liquor and stays in Vegas.

  8. My only question: between Carnage U.S.A. and Venom, how the hell did Pat and Scott lose their symbiotes in the first place? It's like, "Here is Hybrid and Toxin...PSYCHE!"

    ReplyDelete
  9. The foreshadowing for Toxin was really clever. Crime Master knew the symbiote would know what was up. Really great issue!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Agreed.  I think I perfer Medina to Moore (at least for when Flash 'Venoms-Out')

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm thinking the most likely option is that Pat gave the symbiote up so he could live happily with his family, and it somehow got where it wound up. That... or Pat was killed.

    ReplyDelete
  12. One of my favorite issues by far, thus and #7 are great.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hopefully pat is locked away in some facility and wll be seen again

    ReplyDelete
  14. i think were due a new host for toxin this year!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Really enjoyed this issue and I strongly believe that the government are being bitches. Stealing symbiotes! Remember that Venom 13 preview? They even had extra Venom symbiotes. WHORES! And Toxin didn't talk OF COURSE because symbiotes can't talk, it ruins the story and steals the spot light from Flash. Oh Toxin you talked all the time in all your other books... Y U NO TALK?! Lol all the Hybrid and Toxin fans are getting so screwed over here recently... but everyone is I guess we lost Anti-Venom... the only thing close to Venom we even had (u mad Flash?)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I dont think thats government that has toxin, seems more like criminals or something since when does government operate out of casinos

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well whoever they are they are just as bad as the government. Taking Venom and taking Hybrid from Scott. I dont see the difference, at least Scream is the only one free and untouched (hopefully).

    ReplyDelete
  18. I bet you Scream is the first symbiote Eddie killed. =P

    ReplyDelete
  19. Also, Toxin only ever talked to Patrick in his mind. It never talked without a host.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I wouldn't doubt it. Eddie did have it out for her xD and she wasn't in Project Liquid. My love for Eddie out shines my love for Scream so I'll be ok, don't worry about me lol...

  21. I think it suks how pats gone, toxin was my favorite character after eddie, and when i say toxin i mean pat mulligan and the symbiote

    ReplyDelete
  22. Toxin did talk not just in his mind like in issue 3 where Toxin was trolling Pat until he finally helped and said outloud "Thanks Pat that's all I needed to hear." and Toxin talked when Pat would black out and let Toxin have its fun (sound familiar?). But yes Toxin has only talked with Pat because Toxin was never really shown without Pat, but it stands to reason that it could still talk without Pat if it can form teeth and a digestive system (yes I said that already jeez...)

  23. Honestly, really disappointed by this. It's the first issue of this Venom series that I've read, and while I like how Venom is handled, I was really unhappy to see Toxin show up on his lonesome with no dialogue and no explanation of what happened to Pat. I'm really hoping there's some explaining and reuniting later on; the dynamic between Pat and Toxin was my favorite thing about those two. I'm going to be really torked off at Marvel if they just use Toxin as a disposable mook and kill him off.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I hear ya... I'm sure they will be back together there's a better chance of that than Eddie being Venom or AV again. :/

But I'm noticing huge similarities between Toxin and Flash
Pat is a cop, Flash is a soldier.
Both try to use the symbiote for good
Both constantly fight with their symbiote
Both abandoned their family to protect them
Both sometimes lose control and let their symbiote take over
AND THE FINALE! Both of their fathers died while they had symbiotes
Too much I think to be a coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Toxin talked to Spider-Man outloud as well, after breaking Pat's laptop. My theory is that it's possible for a symbiote to be able to speak without a host (Venom's done it while not attached to anybody), but it takes time. And with comic book time being what it is, who knows how old Toxin is.

    ReplyDelete
  26. dont worry man, as the plot goes on Remender will explain what happen to Pat n Toxin

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would love to see a book (or even an arc) flashback that connects the dots between the last time we saw the toxin symbiote in the Toxin mini to the the end of Venom 12 when Jack had it.  This could lead up to a reunion with Pat! #wishfulthinging

    ReplyDelete
  28. That is a pretty good theory but I doubt it would be touched upon. Rick seems to be against symbiotes talking unless they are in control of their host.

    ReplyDelete
  29. With one exception, I thought the issue was really good.  The art was good, and it looks like a lot is being set up for the future.

That being said, I (and I assume many others) was really looking forward to seeing Toxin back in action, and the fact that we only see him temporarily is kind of sucky.  The real kick in the face though is that there's no Pat.  Pat and Toxin were so good together, and now it looks like Toxin's going to be bustled off and put with with a new host who will work for crime master.  I really hope that we see Pat again, hopefully with Toxin (even if he doesn't want it back.  I don't care).

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've said it to my friends, and I'll say it again: what I really want to see here is Toxin going on the symbiote version of The Incredible Journey to get back to his host. :P

    ReplyDelete
  31. After reading all these comments it makes me realize how little i care about circle of four and i would much rather just see stuff with toxin and eddie

    ReplyDelete
  32. Agreed.  The previews of COF did not get me hyped up and now between Carnage USA and Toxin, I'd much rather blow my money on symbiote books...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'd read the hell out of that story!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lol 100% agreed! We have to wait 2 months until we possibly hear about Toxin and Eddie! Least we got Carnage USA to keep us sane.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm half tempted to just plain draw it myself and post it as a fan comic.

    ReplyDelete
  36. My fault, I forgot about those instances. Regardless, the symbiote still had a host when it was talking.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Im more hyped for COF, it sure looks awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'll just post what I posted on Twitter in response to this:

    "
You're blatantly ignoring the key difference. Flash NEEDS the symbiote, as he has an addictive personality and
he lost his legs, so he wants to feel what it's like to walk again. You're also ignoring that
Toxin's father was killed by an enemy, while Flash's died of natural causes. Not to mention his relationship with his father is far, far more interesting than Pat's relationship with his.
Also, you forgot how Pat ALLOWS the symbiote to take over so it can have "fun", while Flash just
loses himself in the rage of his situations.
So, they're vaguely similar, but far from being too close."

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'll just rephrase what I said because its hard to copy paste on a phone. xP
I said that minus the details the key points seemed oddly similar and that this Venom could be a re-imagining of Toxin. Which necessarily isn't a bad thing it's just that I saw those main similarities and wanted to know his opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I know what you mean we get 6 issues of venom in the span of two monthes that is pretty sweet.  I like COF because it has four hero's with some serous issues having to fight the forces of hell.  That's some cool sh*^%.

    ReplyDelete
  41. A very great issue 5/5 not really a fan of toxin, i thought that police character from the venom vs carnage story was still the host but it pretty much explained what crime master was after, also i was really hoping jack o lantern was going to get killed, venom was drawn very well in this issue and was just "BEAST!" guess i can understand why flash broke it up with betty.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Also forgot to say Happy 24 years VENOM! 1988 -2012

    ReplyDelete
  43. i hope why get more explanations on Toxin. I'm getting also the felling that crime-master wants a army of symbiotes but why not go for venom instead of toxin ?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I am truly disappointed with this Toxin appeareance, didn´t thought about the possibility to show him without any kind of host. Aside from that, this was one if the best issues so far. With Flash realising he´s NOT the one in control, and the symbiote taking over, and especially that last panel...To say it with Flash AND the symbiotes words: "WE`RE GETTING USED TO IT." And with IT I mean Flash beein the host of the Venom-Symbiote, and not Eddie Brock. With this Issue I can finally see a future for a Non-Eddie-Venom... (Even if I still consider Brock as the first and best symbiote host, for now). It took me 12 issues to get that far, but as long as Remender is on this, i´m definetly going to stay around...

    ReplyDelete
  45. I NEEEEEEEEEEDDDD MORE BRAAAAAAAIINN, i mean SYMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBIOTEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS

    ReplyDelete
  46. Agreed, besides issue 1 this is my favorite issue of venom so far.  Flash story of slipping to the darkside and losing control is awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  47. you said it perfectlly

    ReplyDelete
  48. its three dollars. buy the book.

    ReplyDelete
  49. i hate to toot my own horn. (actually im not) but awhile ago i said they'd never bring hybrid back. ...and people talked shit. but. they did. the thing that i do feel good about is they totally scrapped the concept for both toxin and hybrid. because like i said months ago. theyre throw away characters. and to all the people talking about the hosts, they arent coming back. maybe youll see them in a single panel. mulligan ::gone::... never to return. because no one cares. i know i dont give a shit where he went. and im just glad that i dont have to see a venom clone with fairy wings (ex. hybrid) prancing around. im just happy that we have a man like flash who is finally a host who doesnt pussy foot around like brock did. ...does nobody remember that brock one time gave the suit to his girlfriend? i wont even buy my girlfriend brunch..

    ReplyDelete
  50. troll harder faggit

    ReplyDelete
  51. Lol well I guess this site is getting pretty successful if we have trolls here now! xD I'm not going to feed him, but Eddie "gave" the symbiote to Anne because she was dying from a gun shot wound. =P

    ReplyDelete
  52. if toxin comes back with a bang!!! perhaps a new host? and we get eddie brock re-powered ass anti-venom i will moan ever again lol

    ReplyDelete
  53. that would be big!!! :) i also said that toxin may get a new host say jynx lol! anyway's carrying it would make a MASSIVE FUCKING WONDERFUL STORY! IF DONE RIGHT? We'd see Venom "Flash Thompson" taking on the new Toxin? would have to an awesome character i.e not Mac Gargan lmao!!! and have the host of Toxin become a HERO!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. one month techniqually as it's every week!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. dude censorship really? i thot u were agaisnt censorship tvs

    ReplyDelete
  56. Say whatever you want to argue your point of view, but comments that only contain name-calling/attacking an individual will be deleted.  That's not censorship, that's staying on topic.

    ReplyDelete
  57.  The problem is, Toxin's host was already a hero. And as the comments show, there's a bunch of people who miss that hero, and want to see him and Tox fighting crime together again.

    ReplyDelete
  58. The dudes a troll

    ReplyDelete
  59. hey im kinda new 2 comic books just started last year and im just sayin venom (Flash Thompson) is my favorite character i dont really kno about Eddie Brock.i mean u guys always say how you want eddie back but...doesnt look like there bringin him back as venom i mean it would be cool as shit seein him back in black but come on he's gone crazy christian on us.... noone ever comes back from crazy christian. but totally back you guys up on the whole Pat and Toxin thing there just a really good match i mean a yong confused symbiote with a host who doesnt even want it but uses it o hopefully pats not dead :/

    ReplyDelete
  60. Eddie's pretty much always been a crazy Catholic, but if you knew more about Eddie and his run as Venom... you'd want him back.

I recently started playing Web of Shadows again and it's making me feel sad =,{ "IM GOING TO KILL YOU PARKER! AHAHAHAHA!"

    ReplyDelete
  61. i was disapointed to see toxin without pat oh well a new host is on the cards? and make him an A-LISTER!!! also how epic is april going to be and the secret summer symbiote event!!! #NERDGASISM lol

    ReplyDelete
  62. Thats true but this time with anti-venom he's gone ovee the top. And ya i geuss ur rite if i knew eddie a lil bit more id prob want him bak

    ReplyDelete
  63. While I will defiantly recommend picking up some Brock/Venom comics, I don't think you will find him as appealing as those who grew up with him.  I love what Remender has done with Venom; unfortunately, to re-image this character it was necessary to get away from Brock.  Also, 90s comics (story and art) have a completely different style than today's.  I compare it to anything that has received a makeover - people who are more familiar with the original will most likely prefer it over the remake.
Regardless, I love the fact that this new Venom series is bringing in new Venom fans!  If you do end up checking out old Brock/Venom stories, I'd love to hear how you compare them to new Flash/Venom books.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Or... you could watch Spider-man The Animated Series or The Spectacular Spider-man on Youtube. Those have great interpretations on what Venom is, but it's certaintly easier than trying to hunt down already hard to find 90s Venom comics.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I recomend picking up the birth of venom trade or lethal protector trade if you wanna read eddie comics
